Ten best Dispatch stories
May | June | July | Aug
Daily Gazette | Gazette | Daily Iowan | high school

Interning at The Columbus Dispatch was a great experience. I worked with a whole bunch of fun and interesting writers and editors. I wrote a whole bunch of interesting stories. But, I think, the most important thing I received from the internship was the confidence that comes when you report in a city and a state that only weeks before you had never been to. Dispatch

I got the internship without ever having set foot in Ohio, much less in Columbus. The first time I was in the state was less than a week before I started. But within no time, I was successfully reporting not only about Columbus but driving clear to the Ohio-West Virginia border.

Feel free to send me an e-mail and I can tell you more about my experiences. My e-mail is steven_cook@altavista.com.
